It’s the little one who interests me, her hair more tangled than her sister’s, like she didn’t bother with it at all. Her eyes are curious and wild: brown, common and yet uncommon in the way they slant upward at the outside corners. She stands in the foyer, her hands clasped at her waist, but instead of studying my body like most women do, her head is tilted to the side, eyes fixed on my boots. I clear my throat to get her attention and she drags her eyes away from my feet and back to my face. She frowns and shakes her head like she’s just realizing where she is.
“Your boots are beautiful,” she finally says. From somewhere beside me her sister groans and her mother lets out what I take as an embarrassed laugh.
“Thank you,” I say, unable to keep the humor from my voice. “I designed them myself.” I don’t usually tell people that but she seems genuinely interested.
“You design clothes?” she asks, surprised.
“You’re surprised that I’m good at something other than fucking?”
Her mother makes a choking noise, but we both ignore it, our attention solely focused.
“Yes, I’m quite surprised,” she says. “Though I can’t attest personally to the fucking part…”
“Yet,” I say.
“Yet,” she echoes, with a slight nod of her head.

Cassy Campbell For one night of fun I kissed a man whose name I never cared to know. I pushed down all of the rules I had in place for myself with this one act of selfishness. No one had to know, and I could lie to myself that it never happened. People don’t remember tourists, and neither should I. It’s not like he was marriage material anyway. No one is more surprised than me when a year goes by and that tourist becomes my freakishly hot, annoying, cocky neighbor who looks at me like a predator stalking his prey.   He is everything I was told to never go for, yet I can’t escape this feeling of being drawn to him. Brody Bennett After surviving a military accident, my entire future is in shambles, the only life I’ve ever known ripped from me. Attempting to run from my ego, I find myself in the small town of Three Rivers, where I can forget my problems and annoy my two younger brothers. Misery loves company, right? It doesn’t take long for my sights to narrow in on an incredibly sexy blonde. The problem is she looks at me like she wants to squish me like a bug. As shocking twists and deadly truths spiral out of control, I am forced to fight for the people who matter most in my life. Rules are broken, hearts are trampled, and the lies that hold everything perfectly in place are torn down. This is book three in the Bennett Brothers Series, it is told in dual POV, and has a HEA. Since characters do play recurring roles, reading book one (Recklessly Mine) and book two (Recklessly Forbidden) in the series, is recommended; however, it can be read as a standalone.

Review by Ashley Lynn Gill

This was my absolute favorite in the series, I read it one night because it kept me smiling. I love the playful banter between the characters and visiting the characters from the previous books. Love, sex, comedy and a little bit of mystery all tied up in one book and Emily Bowie did it well.

Finally got me some Brody Bennet in my life!! Who doesn’t love an emotionally damaged muscular Military man ?? no one that’s who, I promise you’ll fall in love with Brody. He’s hot, playful and only into Cassy.  We have no time for man whores in this book, its great to see an overall good man in a book. Don’t worry its not all fun and games with Brody, you’ll go through his emotional issues with him and he will leave you wishing you were there to hold him at night.

Cassy is everything in this story.  I’m glad to read a female character that wasn’t a sweet good little virgin before the “hero” came along. Cassy is a strong independent woman that can hold her own and with the pranks going back and forth between her and Brody that’s a good thing. Just like us all, Cassy has her own issues.  Cassy knew Brody was a hot piece of ass when she met him but that seemed to be the only good quality she seen at first. It took a while but I’m glad Cassy seen more in Brody. I think they’re just what each other needed.

Cassy and Brody’s story was very well written, the sex was organic and didn’t seem far fetched or over the top. There wasn’t a lot of angst so if that’s not your thing you’ll really enjoy this. I’ve always hated the term “all the feels” but that perfect describes this book.  I laughed a lot, fell in love, cried and the mystery raced my heart rate up a little.  This book will leave you wanting to visit Three Rivers to search for a long ost Bennet brother or maybe even a cousin haha. Don’t pass this one up, five star rating!!
